Okay folks, it is time to start running!

The town of Boerne, TX is hosting its first 'Boerne 0.5k Fun Run' on May 5th.

That is right, one half of a kilometer. Even I can do that. Maybe not run, but I could toddle quickly!

And the totally cool part: it starts at a brewery and ends at a brewery. And at the 150m point, there is a coffee and donut stand! (It’s right next to the smoking section!)

See you in Boerne!

Last leg

Marseille: quite beautiful, but damn near impossible to get to.

Our Gaza protest in Perpignan.

Perpignan. Needless to say I had to pluck out my eyeballs after I saw this!

A Gaudi building in Barcelona.

Just another building in Barcelona. I mean really, how many beautiful structures can you see before you go screaming to the nearest bar.

At least there is a sense of humor in Barcelona!

Travelogue: Part 2

I asked Karla to take a picture or two as we drove through Luxembourg. I guess I should have been more specific as to the subject matter!

Karla and I sitting at our table at the Hofbrau Haus! This pretty much all we saw in Munich.

Dachau. Sobering.

I was quite impressed with Lichtenstein, even if they made their castle impossible to get to!

Switzerland was just being Switzerlandish.

Milan was neat. I think this building is in Milan. I'm pretty sure.
I think. Maybe.

And Turin. Or some town with a Turinesque experience.

Our guest house in the countryside of Italy. Everyone else was Italian, but a couple of people spoke pretty good English. So we kind of knew what was going on!

The official welcoming committee at Il Baco da Seta. Actually, there were four cats and three dogs. I tried to get them all in one picture, but the best I could do was these three.

And the view as we were leaving the guest house on the way to Marseille!

And the travelogue begins!

Isn't this a cool, old tower. I would tell you where it is, but I have no clue. Maybe France.

This parking garage is where Karla and I practiced our limbo. We couldn't find a way back in, other than this exit, which had those gates that come down, and we had to crawl under them. Three times, I believe! Yes, we are cute, but not very bright!

I found Verdun, France to be a very beautiful and calm town. It was the site of intense fighting in World War I.
.

Another view of Verdun.

I'm not sure when or why this picture was taken, but I ended up with 69 nearly identical photos like this, so it must have been a very important snap shot!
(Eek!!! I don't look well enough to travel!)

And just a buddy I met on the street. We had a casual fling and then went our separate ways. I think this was in Milano... but maybe not. Who knows?
