The heat has arrived

The third or fourth consecutive day of 100˚ +  temperatures. And the ten-day forecast offers no respite.

Ain’t the Inland Empire glorious in the summer.

A question of ethics:

Let’s pretend you have this big, fluffy cat. An adorable cat that looks so huggable. She is almost irresistible. But you know she doesn’t like her body touched.

(Aside: I would never do this to Billie Jean. I know there would be bloodshed, paramedics summoned and blood transfusions in the ER.)

Is it morally reprehensible to request that in exchange for room and board, she show a modicum of compromise and snuggle?

And in keeping with the festivities

Today would have been Wayne Edward Peterson’s 69th birthday. Some of you may better remember him as Knute.

Always a party animal! I think we should all join him in revelry today!

July 5, 1998-July 5, 2023

Today would have been Richard and my 25th Anniversary.

Wow, how time flies. I owe Richard for so much. He told me it was still okay to love Wayno. He even wrote it into his vows to me. He cajoled me into going to Europe in 2006. He taught me how to co-exist. He gave me unconditional love. He taught me about theatre. He made me a better person.

He even gave me some gossip on A-list stars. He knew people who knew people who had met Susan Sarandon. And, of course he worked with Tom Hanks for a couple of years.

I think he should be canonized (for putting up with me!)

Happy 91st Birthday, Donald Lewis Binder

I wish I could find a picture, but hey... ya know.

Karla and I went out to dinner in his honor.

Twenty-five days later, it is finally complete. This one was a killer!
