With fond memories.

I learned today that Ethel Etta Pitchell Peterson Lancien Batcheller passed yesterday. I remember her better as Sally,
Wayn-o’s mother.

Godspeed, good woman!

One More Time!

The South Dakota State Women’s Basketball team is back in the NCAA Tournament for the forth year in a row! Go Jackrabbits!!!

And once again, Richard has rejected the idea of him driving the Jackrabbitmobile around the Gorge. There will be no decorating his car, even though the color is so right!

But the women’s team drug them men’s team into the tournament this year! For the first time in history, South Dakota State’s Men’s Basketball team is in the NCAA Tournament. Talk about March Madness in Brookings!

GO JACKRABBITS!!!

New RoadTrip Destination.

I’ve just read about the Jell-O Gallery and Museum in Le Roy, NY. (I checked. Le Roy is in upstate New York, between Rochester and Buffalo.)

For those of you who lack basic Jell-O knowledge, Le Roy is touted as the birthplace of Jell-O. Le Roy is the holiest of Jell-O cities. Something like Mecca, but more secular and squishy. (Please, no one take offense. I don’t mean to trash talk anyone with a Jell-O based religion. It is not my place to judge.)

This sound like the next best thing to the Ball o’Twine monument in Cawker City, KS. But then, Karla and I have been there and done that, so this is really coming across as a bucket list item.

I’ve been to the Louvre and the Rijksmuseum. I’ve done the Smithsonian and seen the Book of Kells. I was beginning to think that I’d pretty much done all the museums. I was wrong.

All hail Jell-O!

A comic from The New Yorker magazine.

I couldn't help it. I laughed in spite of myself.
