The morning started ominously.
I had set up the coffee maker last night so that all I had to do was push a button and voilĂ , coffee would be ready before I was done with my morning duties in the bathroom.
I poured myself a cup, and went into my winter office, turned on the computer and took a sip. Damn, that was the weakest coffee I had ever made! (Please note: I was in Prague. It is a mug with a dark interior. I had no idea what I was pouring into the cup!)

I stormed back into the kitchen mad as hell and sure my coffee
maker had screwed up big time! Well, to make a long story short, it seems I
forgot to put any coffee into the basket that is supposed to house the grounds.
My bad.
So, I went through the whole process of making coffee again
and hit the magic “Brew” button. I went back to my computer and read the news
until I heard the blessed “BEEP… BEEP… BEEP” letting me know the coffee was
ready!
Imagine my surprise when I toddled back into the kitchen and
found water dripping off the counter top. It seems that if you don’t put the
basket holding the coffee back into the machine, it shoots water into the air.
So, I got to dry off the kitchen and make coffee again.
On the bright side; when a day starts this bad, you know it
has to get better!
And it has been over a week since it has been above freezing. Snowmageddon's aftermath lives on!
