Doomsday Comet!
On this date in 1862, the Swift-Tuttle Comet was discovered by
Louis Swift. Horace Tuttle saw it three days later.
It has a 1 in 10,000 chance of colliding with Earth in 2026.
I don’t know about you, but I am canceling my summer 2027
vacation!
