And the long awaited update on the : O'Scopy

The results came back: once again benign.

But I am still on the 5 year program.

Just a news story I liked!

Sorry about the advertisement.
This is how sports should be played!

Notes from a Master Recycler

Coca-Cola, that mega-giant soda pop retailer out of Atlanta, Georgia has been campaigning majorly against recycling initiatives in Australia.

I am sorry, but Coke can go suck itself. Coca Cola’s opposition to recycling just proves it is part of the problem, not the solution. Please join me in telling coke how much we appreciate their contribution to global warming.

Dear Mr/Ms Coke,

I understand that you are opposed to the initiatives in South Australia and the Northern Territories to charge a 10 cent refundable deposit on your plastic bottles. Wow, this is so like your opposition to Oregon’s bottle bill in the 1970s. You are not a quick learner, are you?

Please don’t take this wrong, but I will never purchase your product again, because I think you are the anti-Christ and you need to go away.

Please pass my apologies on to your employees.

Sincerely,

Now here’s good news.

Mississippi has finally ratified the 13th amendment, abolishing slavery.

I tell you, progress is just sweeping through Dixie!

Forgive me Father, for I have gone against nature.

I did my taxes today. Dad is whirling in his grave. I feel bad. It was one of the few sacred traditions I had made compulsory in my life: taxes must be done on April 15th of any given year.

And yet, I have done my taxes. I am a bad child.

Finally an explanation.

This is why I blog.

Can you spell ‘: O’Scopy’?

Neither can I. I just had one. Right now the world is a beautiful place. It wasn’t yesterday evening and it probably won’t be tomorrow morning, but right now it is charming and serene; other than that one screaming cat. (Remind me to get a case of Industrial Strength Cat-B-Gone next time I’m at the store.)

Don’t worry, I’ll tell you every gory detail about my procedure. Later. Right now I don’t remember much. And I’d hate to give you even one gruesome aspect lacking the vivid imagery it deserves. That will be a later post.

100 years ago today

Rosa Louise McCauley was born in Tuskegee, Alabama.
We remember her better as Rosa Parks, the woman who wouldn't give up her seat on a Montgomery, Alabama bus.
